2004 Easter Egg Hunt

The calm before the hunt

 Early on a bright and sunny Easter eve morning, the easter bunny and his assistants hid nearly 200 eggs filled with treasures beyond belief on the beach at Holiday Point. . .


The hunters at the ready

 Just after lunch a band of brave easter egg hunters gathered to begin the search . . .



Matthew finds his first egg

 Matthew finds his first easter egg of the day . . though we're not sure he knows what to do with it!


Julia protects her find

 Stop right where you are . . this egg is mine and I'm not gonna let anyone steal it away!



Watching all the fun

 No one could have ordered a better day to relax in the sun and enjoy watching the kids hunt for eggs.


Look mom . . . color coordinated

 Julia finds and egg that matches perfectly with her pants. Now that's carefully planned hunting!



It was so exciting I couldn't look!

 Heather closes her eyes because she couldn't bear to watch as Julia and Alyssa hunt for the eggs (or maybe she just didn't want her picture taken!)

Kyle - the serious egg hunter

 Kyle had a whole strategy planned for the hunt and he was definitely successful. Here he's pondering where to run next in search of the prize.


Susie makes mimosas

 Susie and Amy generously volunteered to bring along mimosas for the parents in attendance. They definitely made the day as fun for the adults as it was for the kids.

 Whew, this easter egg hunting stuff is hard work . . but it's worth it!

 Never mind digging around on my hands and knees to find an egg, I'll just use this shovel and scoop up the whole beach!


Debbie expects a large haul

 With two easter baskets in hand, Debbie must be expecting Hannah and Tyler to rake in a lot of eggs.

 Julia poses with her first batch of eggs. The original limit was five eggs, but after every had their chance, every kid was allowed to find all that they could.

 Kelly had a good day of egg hunting and proudly displays this egg that matches perfectly with her outfit.

 Eva and Erin not only searched for eggs but played a crucial role in helping to replant new eggs to keep the kids busy. Next year we're going to definitely have to have better hiding places, these kids are just getting too good at this!

 Missy watches over the activities as kids run in all directions. The eggs were hidden on the beach from Fern and Herb's property all the way to the end of the point. . . a pretty big area for small feet to cover.

 Debbie helps Hanna figure out how to blow the whistle that was hidden inside her egg. Wonder how long that will last before mom and dad make it disappear!


It's a father and son thing

 Larry gives Cameron a break. Actually he was much more interested in playing in the sand than he was in finding eggs, but as long as he was having fun what does it matter.

 Loren 'cracks' open and egg to see what treasures are hidden inside. Wow, candy and money and erasers and stickers! What more could a kid ask for.
